Arizona Wildlife Conservation Strategy

Roundtree Canyon COA

Roundtree Canyon is a high priority management unit because it has substantial flow and sizable pools, contains only native species and has an introduced population of roundtail chub. The current management priority is to continue monitoring to determine if the chub population is self-sustaining and to monitor dace and leopard frog population status. As of early 2014 chub reproduction had not been documented. No additional chub introductions are currently planned.
