Stinky Creek (Upper Black River) COA

Stinky Creek will be managed in conjunction with the West Fork Black River and associated tributaries. Following an anticipated complete chemical renovation of this entire system, self-sustaining populations of native fish will be re-established. It is currently closed to fishing though the objective is to open Stinky Creek and the West Fork system as a wild self-sustaining coldwater sportfishery for Apache trout. Maintaining exclosure fencing is important to maintain suitable riparian and aquatic habitat conditions.
