Spring Creek (Haigler Creek-Tonto Creek) COA

Spring Creek and the associated tributaries of Rock, Buzzard Roost, and Turkey creek contain the highest density population of roundtail chub in the Salt River watershed. The headwaters of the drainage contain primarily native fish but non-native green sunfish and yellow bullhead become more abundant moving downstream. However, roundtail chub are present throughout the drainage and were noted to be abundant near the Tonto Creek confluence during a recent survey.
