Snake Creek (Middle Black River) COA

Snake Creek is identified for Apache trout recovery, though there is no longer a barrier following post-fire flooding. A short section of permanent water limits the priority of barrier reconstruction and Apache trout re-establishment. Habitat surveys suggest some available loach minnow habitat is present in Snake Creek. Following barrier construction and renovation, Snake Creek will be managed primarily for self-sustaining populations of Apache trout and secondarily for speckled dace, desert sucker, Sonora sucker, and loach minnow.
