Romero Canyon COA

Romero Canyon drains the west side of the Catalina Mountains near the town of Catalina, and supports a population of roundtail chub that was originally translocated from Sabino Canyon. Romero Canyon is a major tributary to Canada del Oro wash. Sufficient habitat to support populations of native fish, including roundtail chub, was discovered in Canada del Oro prior to the Bighorn Fire of 2020.
