Arizona Wildlife Conservation Strategy

Reservation Creek (Middle Black River) COA

Reservation Creek, a tributary to the Black River, will be managed primarily for the benefit of native aquatic species including: speckled dace, desert Sucker, Sonora Sucker, and narrow-headed gartersnakes. Wild brown trout present throughout the Black River system and Reservation Creek will support a wild coldwater sport fishery as a secondary management objective. Reservation Lake on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation upstream will continue to also be a source population of brown trout.
