Hunter Creek contains a population of longfin dace but it also contains rainbow trout and green sunfish. Perennial water seems to be confined to the section downstream of the Sharp Creek confluence but fish were confined to the kilometer of stream below the Hunter Creek Ranch Estates during the most recent survey.
