Howard Well will be managed to maintain self-sustaining populations of Gila topminnow and desert pupfish, which directly contributes to species recovery. Gila topminnow and desert pupfish will be stocked as necessary to maintain the populations. Aquatic vegetation will be controlled and the pond dredged as necessary to maintain habitat. Populations will be monitored every 1-3 years to determine species status and whether or not any augmentations are needed.
