Deadman Creek COA

Deadman Creek is a high priority management unit for native fish including roundtail chub, speckled dace, desert sucker, and Sonora sucker, however, access to upper portions of the drainage is difficult. Records of the fish species occupying Deadman Creek occurred prior to the 2004 Willow Fire. Surveys of the South Fork Deadman Creek in April 2014 found no fish in that portion of the drainage, perhaps as a result of impacts related to the 2004 Willow Fire. Additional surveys throughout the Deadman Creek drainage are needed to assess the status of the fish assemblage.
