The Cottonwood Spring management unit in the Goldfield Mountains will be managed primarily to maintain the refuge population of Gila topminnow in the spring box. The site will be surveyed at least every three years to assess species status. More Gila topminnow will be stocked every 5-10 years to maintain genetic variation.
