Arizona Wildlife Conservation Strategy

Colter Creek COA

The Department has an interest in managing Colter Creek and Red Hole Draw for native fish including speckled dace, bluehead sucker, and Apache trout, in conjunction with other tributaries of upper Nutrioso Creek. Until a full-scale chemical renovation can be completed, Colter Creek will be managed for self-sustaining populations of wild rainbow trout hybrids, currently present, for a cold water sport fishery.
