Colorado River Tributary Washes COA

Colorado River Tributary Washes COA includes Boulder Creek, Cottonwood Creek, Crystal Creek, Diamond Creek, Dragon Creek, Grapevine Creek, Hermit Creek, Matkatamiba Creek, Milk Creek, Monument Creek, North Creek, Parashant Canyon, Outlet Canyon, Pipe Creek, Royal Arch Creek, Salt Creek, Spencer Creek, Unkar Creek, and Vishnu Creek. Washes have similar flow regimes (ephemeral) and only have fish near the confluence with the Colorado River. Little is known about these creeks, but all Colorado River Tributaries below the Lees Ferry reach of the river are managed for native fish per the Comprehensive Fishery Management Plan. These washes should be managed for self-sustaining populations of native fish. Native fish species management, conservation, and recovery will be in partnership with the National Park Service, USFWS, and other partners. Actions related to the management, conservation, and recovery of native fish species will be mostly driven by existing conservation and recovery plans.
